This actually works! I naturally get oily roots after 2-3 days of unwashed hair and that’s when the flaky nightmare starts to come out. This shampoo lathers well despite drying my scalp afterwards. However, I haven’t experience any rashes or redness with this shampoo. That being said, I only wash my hair 1-2x a week so I don’t experience much irritation compare to others who may wash their hair more frequently. Another plus side is that the drying effect lifts my roots and give me some volume in my hair once it dries so that’s also a plus since my oily hair tends to make it fall flat.

I now have baby hairs growing in my bald patches, and I see a significant improvement month after month. I only wish they made a sage conditioner to go with it. I have been using their Tea Tree conditioner which is very nice. I highly recommend this product, especially those suffering from seb derm. I told my dermatologist they should recommend this shampoo to their patients.

Had my hair colored and was coaxed into buying a plant based but NOT cruelty free shampoo. Going on two months my hair got waxy, oily, and clumpy. Thought I changed something in my diet and that was causing the extra oil?? Near running out of that expensive shampoo, I got a free sample of Maple Holistic shampoo for dandruff. Holy smokes!! One wash with this amazing shampoo and my hair is light and silky soft again!!! I will never buy another product!! And I love that they are cruelty free - no bunnies or animals harmed. Double yay!

Just recently moved from New York to Los Angeles & the heat (maybe the hard water) has made my scalp very dry and itchy. This product was recommended to me by a co-worker who suffered the same issue who it worked wonders for. IT’S FANTASTIC! It arrived earlier than expected and after one use I already saw the difference in my scalp. The Shampoo also has this wonderful smell, almost like black tea, and feels cooling on my scalp. Will definitely be recommending this to everyone!

This Sage Shampoo saved my scalp and cleared up my patch of seborrheic dermatitis in about 4 uses (shampooing my hair every 2-3 days)! It works amazingly, and my hair is also looking and feeling better too, it brought out my curls more, its softer and less frizzy! The smell is a little strong but it doesn't stay after your hair is dried (even if it did I wouldn't care because of how great it works for me)! I love that is is Organic and SLS Free too, I've tried other hair products from them and have had great results with all of them, they have made a customer for life!

I have fine, thin, straight hair. My scalp was getting dry and itchy because of our weather changing. I used this product as the instructions stayed and my scalp felt so much better! I wasn’t itchy at all and had no flakes. It does have a pretty strong smell, but i like the smell of tea tree and sage, so it didn’t bother me. It’s definitely an earthy smell. My hair was slightly knitted when i was done rinsing, but not more than others shampoos. I’ll probably pair it with a conditioner to prevent tangles.

This shampoo is great if you have an irritable scalp or product buildup. I get occasional dandruff in the winter time and a lot of product build up too. This will get your hair squeaky clean so it will dry out your hair so don’t use it all the time. Make sure to use a good conditioner afterwards. I use it only twice a month because it’s so strong but my scalp doesn’t really itch anymore. The smell is very herbal but I don’t mind - it goes away the next day. I have thick kinky/coiled/curly 4a & 4b hair.

The shampoo I had been using for years to tame my psoriasis was discontinued. I searched high and low for a replacement that worked as well. It took lots of trail and error with some brands causing serious flare ups for months but finally I stumbled on the Maple Holistics Sage shampoo and it works (wait for it...) WAY better than my old way more expensive salon shampoo!!! Seriously they brought back the old shampoo I used @ $28 a bottle and I wouldn't dream of going back! This stuff works way better and has a much better ingredient profile too. I personally find MH conditioner a little too strong with the minty vibe so I use another mild brand. Thanks for making a great product that really helps stop people from suffering :) and it smells good too!

I bought this shampoo to try and help with my very itchy and flaky scalp. After using it for a month or so I was thinking there was really not much improvement. I ran out of it a few days ago and it was then that I realized how much it had been actually slowly helping me. Using regular shampoo for the past several days has been horrible. My hair and scalp feel awful. I would say that this stuff does indeed work, but it was a slow process, at least for me. I'll be getting some more soon and hopefully my scalp will improve with continued use of this product.

I use this shampoo to combat my psoriasis and I have to say it really works. When my psoriasis gets really bad I still have to use my meds, but this helps for small flare ups and regular use. I use it in conjunction with the Maple Holistics Silk 18 conditioner and my hair comes out so soft, silky, and really reduces the flaking. If you have issues with dandruff or psoriasis I would definitely give this a try!

I was looking for something sulfate-free, sodium chloride-free, but with rosemary. That turned out to be a tall order, but this was the one option that I could find that didn't go out of production. Perfect! It contains tea tree oil, which is a natural antiseptic. But, for that, you pay the price of what I think is a mildly unpleasant smell while you're shampooing (but not afterward, that I've noticed). My impression is that this worked better as a non-medicated anti-dandruff shampoo than others I've tried for color-treated hair. I've tried their Tea Tree shampoo, also, which had a slightly less strong smell, but it's for dry/damaged hair. I'd recommend either.

This product really helped out my daughter scalp ,I immediately saw a difference ,I left this on he'd hair for about 3 minutes as I massaged her scalp,left her hair as well scalp looking very healthy without the flakes left from dermatitis, and it spelled good I would most definitely recommend this product ,I also followed it up with tea tree conditioner

It works but you MUST follow the instructions. The first application will seem weird so focus on the hair line and spread as best as you can (drench your hair beforehand helps) but after you rinse and repeat, it lathers up a lot more so you can really spread it around so round 2 is a must. I have been using head & shoulders for years and tried natural products before that didn't work so I'm happy to report that after a couple months, I can say this one works for me.

I have been looking for a shampoo for over a year. Have shampooed only once. So this may be to soon to evaluate. Usually I have a bad reaction immediately. Burning of scalp after applying. None last night. The next day I have hard bump on scalp, neck, and chest. None today. I have many allergies. So far so good. Pray it continues. Hair is soft and manageable. For me with no conditioner. I have color treated hair.

Randomly started getting dandruff and I don't know what caused it. I started to look up different dandruff shampoos on Amazon after Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, and T/Sal all did not work. I saw this had great reviews so I decided to try it. It works miracles! Even my husband wanted to try it, after he saw the great results on me! It's amazing and the dandruff has definitely gone away. Buying AGAIN!

I have wavy hair that frequently gets frizzy and I struggle with scalp issues. This shampoo keeps my scalp completely clear and for the first time in my life, my curls are defined without build-up or my hair being weighed down. My hair feels so much thicker and healthier. This is the shampoo I've been looking for since I was a kid. I could not recommend this enough. The bottle lasts me over 2 months, and my hair is past my shoulders.

This shampoo works great. I did exactly as the instructions said to. (I noticed someone who wrote they didn't get results, but didn't follow directions on the bottle. Come on now, can we really drop stars when we didn't even do what it says?) I saw results within days. I have never had dandruff before, after I had my daughter something changed and next thing I know I was seeing flakes. I have used it for about a year now. Once the dandruff was gone I started to use it every other wash or every 2 washes, rotating with my normal organic shampoo and it seems to maintain well! The smell is not great. Smells like trees/natural stuff. But it's not a very strong smell. So it's tolerable. I definitely recommend this!
